               Nutrition -  for renewing/returning books and paying fines only
               Lunch (Monday – Thursday) – sign in the first 10 minutes; stay the entire
               lunch period.  3:02-3:30

Closed:   Lunch Fridays
               2:02-3:02 Tuesdays and Thursdays
               Librarian’s off-campus meetings and absences

 

INFORMATION

Visits:        

Students are required to sign in at the door before school, at lunch, and
after school.  During class time, they must have a signed and dated pass
from their teacher and a lesson in hand

Teachers are asked to sign up for class or small group visits 24 hours in
advance and must supervise their students the entire visit. Please refrain
from using cell phones and do not use computers for non-school related
business with your students in the library.

Students and staff may use the library for reading and relaxing, browsing
for books/magazines, studying/doing homework, doing research, using a
computer for school-related projects, pre-approved club meetings, and
special events participation.

All library users are asked to refrain from eating, drinking, and chewing
gum. Please work quietly and calmly, and handle all library materials,
equipment, and furniture with care. Leave your area clean and safe by
picking up after yourself and pushing in your chair.

Circulation:  
 

Students must have a current Revere photo ID to check out materials.

Books/Audio: Students may check out up to three items for two weeks.
Materials may be renewed once.

Reference: Some reference materials may be checked out after school for
overnight use, but they must be returned before homeroom the
following morning.

Magazines: Previous month’s issues may be checked out for three days.

Reserves: Students may reserve a book by filling in a “Reserves” card at
the Circulation Desk.

Fees:        

Overdue materials are charged 10 cents per day, per item, including
weekends, but not including holidays or student and librarian absences.
The maximum fine per item is $5.00.

Lost and damaged books will cost the current replacement price of the book, which includes vendor book-processing fees.  Lost reference materials cost $50

 

Computer Use:        

Kiosk computers are for class-related/school-related work only.

Students need to sign in at the Research Center to use a kiosk computer for
anything other than OPAC (on-line catalog) or LAUSD’s Digital Library
(free databases and reference works).

Kiosk #1 is the productivity station (non-Internet use)
Kiosk #2 is for Internet use

Students must have their current Revere photo ID with the yellow
Acceptable Use sticker for Internet access, per District policy. The red laptop sticker must be on the student’s ID for in-library checkout.

NOTE: no gaming, e-mailing, or random surfing of the net allowed on kiosk computers. See
library staff for help with search engines, directories, databases, and web
sites.

12 Laptops will be available to use during lunch in the library.  Students can sign up to reserve a laptop beginning at 7:15 each morning.  Laptops will only be handed out during the first 10 minutes of lunch.
