Mrs. Ernst’s English Class Rules and Expectations

I have a few rules and expectations that I believe will help us stay on task, and to help utilize our class time efficiently. I look forward to having a positive, educational, and exciting year with you all. I expect students to be on time, and ready to work (with their materials) when the bell rings.

    STAY FOCUSED AND ORGANIZED!

If there are individuals that have problems with the rules, they will be dealt with appropriately. Lowered cooperation grades, notifying parent/guardian, detention, and referrals are all measures that may be taken if necessary.

*Remember, negative behavior may affect your ability to participate in 8th grade activities (Disneyland, 8th Grade Picnic, etc)

**My student policy for all my students is that any infraction a student makes such as: forgotten materials, excessive talking, goofing off, throwing things, etc....I write down in a log. Any three infractions within a 5-week period results in a U in either Work Habits or Cooperation (depending on the behavior) on the next grading report.** A "U" in Work Habits will be given for a D or below.

    MAKE WISE CHOICES AND SUCCEED!
