2020-2021 Charter Applications
Application Window: October 1 - November 15, 2019 (Non-resident, Magnet & PWT)
Interested families, please note new application timeline and process:
On April 23, 2019, the Los Angeles Unified Board of Education approved Phase II of the Unified Enrollment (UE) project to include Affiliated Charter Schools. The UE project was Board approved on June 2017 to create a more convenient, equitable and accessible application process for families. The updated District Required Language (DRL) modifies Element 8 of the current charter to align with the District’s UE process.
If there are more applicants than available space, the school will hold a public, random lottery during the month of February 2020. Resident attendance boundary families will follow current enrollment procedures and do not need to apply through UE.
Special Note Regarding Transportation
Transportation is not provided by Revere or LAUSD to any student accepted through the Charter Lottery or Charter Wait List. The only programs that offer District bus transportation are Magnet and Permits with Transportation (PWT). These programs require an application through the LAUSD Choices program. The Choices application deadline for 2019-2020 is November 9, 2018. The District provides transportation only to those students who have applied and been accepted into the Magnet or PWT program. For more information click on the link: http://echoices.lausd.net/
Parent funded transportation is organized through PRMS Student Services Inc. They offer limited routes and there is a fee that parents pay for their students to ride the bus. There is limited space on these routes. Acceptance through the Charter Lottery or Charter Wait List does not guarantee a space on the parent funded buses. Local Elementary School Students
Students are NOT automatically enrolled in Revere M.S. if they attend one of the following local elementary Schools: MARQUEZ ES, PALISADES ES, KENTER CANYON ES, CANYON ES or TOPANGA ES
Due to LAUSD policy, the term “feeder school” no longer applies to students matriculating from the above schools to Paul Revere Charter Middle School. Students currently in 5th grade attending one of these five elementary schools will fall into one of the two categories: RESIDENT or NON-RESIDENT. Please click here to read the descriptions of these categories. Read them carefully to determine the application process you fall under.
